Really though having a clearance isn't a huge deal. Pretty easy to get as long as you have good credit and references. It's all about access to the information, not the clearance. What Medius said is true. Though I'm not sure about the TS for all pilots. I can't remember exactly, but part of me thinks that our helicopter pilots didn't have TS unless they actually needed it. TACOPS officers and stuff like that.
