yes but it certainly was an orgy in public. they even invited the media. the point is still he wasn't scared, he just used them because they upset more people than they didn't. also he said he hoped the courts would give them clemency. kitty riot themselves have said through their lawyer "Under no circumstances will the girls ask for a pardon [from Putin] ... They will not beg and humiliate themselves before such a bastard"
