I never win when I go to casinos, which is why I rarely gamble. However, I did indulge in some slots this year in the Bahamas while we were waiting for our room to be ready when we were checking in. Played the slots twice (literally), and won $350 on the second try. Since that's the most I've ever won (actually the only time I've ever won), I walked away.
Also, our room was ready.

Gambling is like spending money on any other form of entertainment. If I'm going to be upset when I lose it, it's not worth it.

Best form of gambling is a card game with friends. I remember HS card nights on Friday nights. We'd play seven-and-a-half, betting quarters, for hours on end. Drinking beer, seeing who could BS each other the best, and basically having fun.
