my clothes keep disappearing

Er, not while wearing them but about 6 months ago I bought 24 pairs of socks. The exact same socks. I'm down to about 10 pair now. Underoos? down to like 11 boxer-briefs from probably over 40.

I'm also down to like 10 t-shirts from about 50. Can't find any of them anywhere. I have suspicious about my maid service now and am going to start watching them via webcam. I hate to think they are stealing clothes from me but I'm not sure what else to think. Though its possible the washer or dryer is getting hungry =P

I am not the most organized person in the world but even being disorganized, I couldn't possibly have that many clothes sitting around in the various clutter in my apartment. I am getting a bit paranoid.

Anyone else seem to have problems losing items of clothing?

Socks are a major pain, I lose them all the time. Boxers can be a bit of a pain too. I'm normally ok with t-shirts although the odd one might go missing.

I normally put it down to women stealing my clothing so they can sniff them.

What the hell do you need 40 pairs of underwear for? A two week supply is plenty.

You have a dog? They've been know to eat socks/undies. I had to pay a $1,000 vet bill cause one of mine ate too many and got plugged up.
