They probably just want to see if you're weird enough to actually spend the energy to try to correct them again over something so inconsequential. I imagine trolling happens often in your life.

Redundancies can be pretty annoying. People do this all of the time irl, but I can't think of any good examples atm. The inverse really annoys the hell out of me too. When someone says l.o.l. or w.t.f. in actual conversation rather than laughing or saying "what the f**k." I wonder if online these idiots read lol, l.o.l., rather than reading it laugh out loud and read wtf, w.t.f., rather than what the f**k, in their stupid minds. This annoys me greatly.
