Yellow journos smear Greenwald campaign

On a psuedo sidenote concerning the attempted burning down of Greenwald, there has been a somewhat parallel story involving one Barret Brown. He was a sorta-spokesperson for Anonymous who's now in Federal custody (pending real charges).

I read this story last week after it was posted on a local Dallas publication in coorelation to Greenwald. Brown was a resident here and his story was being covered reguarly, especially with regards to the LulzSec hack of Stratfor. The emails uncovered in that hack revealed some scary connections between corporate america and governmental authorties, which leads potentially back to Prism.

The only reason I'm familiar with Brown is that he's from Dallas and used to be a writer at a local publication (that no longer exists). The guy who used to be his editor is the one who wrote a series of stories about Barret since they were friends.

Barret's biggest mistake was having a substance abuse problem when all this broke, which you know the FBI will use with impunity against him. Not that it was even related.....

I hope I didn't hijack your thread JD, but the story I read on friday concerning Brown was directly related to your OP. Let me know if you want to split it off on another topic.

side note...when they are hitting you with charges like "obstruction" and "threats" it means they want to charge you with something but they don't know what.
