SCOTUS telling Congress that a formula is outdated in any year when Congress did research it is the most obvious and blatant example of legislating from the bench.

Oh, I agree that they kept their word from 2009. That doesn't change facts, though.

No, it wasn't. The Congressional hearings had RECENT data. Why do you not understand? The formula uses data from the past but the hearings used RECENT data to confirm the past data and formula is still applicable.

The congressional hearings are of record. Ginsberg cites some of that data in her dissent. I quoted it in this thread, I believe. You've ignored it.

It doesn't matter if they want that, it's not in their legal sphere to demand it. Congress is the legislative body. The 15th Amendment gives it power to pass the laws based on their discretion so long as it works. The evidence proved it works. Therefore, nothing requires them to change. The Supreme court made up rules out of thin air.

Watching conservatives defend the most activist ruling in decades is hilarious, though.
