The f**k. Illegal laws, officers without names, the infamous G20 land comment... I'm glad I wasn't in Toronto. Would have got into trouble.

Yeah, they keep buying us off with our own money. The payoffs are bribes to shut up about their criminal activity. they're the opposite of justice.

They serve as a deterrent to future acts of malfeasance. Every government policy, contract stipulation etc has a lawsuit behind it.
I guess you could look at a settlement with a nondisclosure clause as a bribe to keep your mouth shut. That doesn't happen if the suit goes to trial, however. Then's all public.
