consequently, it's also the reason i don't like walking through the woods by myself.

Coolest dead thing I ever witnessed was a humpback whale washed ashore. You could smell it on the the road well in advance of getting to where the carcass lay.

I didn't find a dead human body today, but my dad discovered a dead groundhog behind his car in the driveway this morning. So he gets the shovel to go scoop it up, come to find out the groundhog isn't dead but just sitting there because his leg is broken. We try using the shovel to scare him into going into the grass but he's just pathetically trying to escape, so I end up having to grab him from behind, putting him in a trash bag and watching my dad seal it (while the animal is still alive).

So I started out the morning essentially suffocating an injured groundhog. Nice huh?
