If you know enough Texas lawmakers and are willing to pay them well, they'd be happy to set the speed limit on your privately operated toll road at 120 mph (and the speed limit on adjacent roads at 35 for "safety reasons").

To be quite honest, I have no plans on "moving" to NY for any extended period of time. But, I may be up there for 4-6 weeks depending. I was in Trenton, NJ and Newark for that long. It sure would have been nice to have known someone up there who could point us in the right direction. For the first few weeks, we knew nothing of the local scene. We subsisted on hotel room service (Trenton Marriott), take-out Chinese and pizza. After a while, we figured out that Princeton was right up the road, and went there almost every night for dinner.

Now, I know that Trenton isn't NYC. We'll have no lack of good places to eat and spend what little free time we have. But, I'd still like to know some recommendations.

Why dont you just try driving around? Im sure if you ask people they will tell you where not to go so just avoid those areas and explore everywhere else.
