In about fifty years (if we're still around), most of the world will probably be a ghetto.

Honestly, I wish that we could all come together and do just that. The problem is that we can't. Or, we aren't.
Therefore, my kids can get ahead by one of two ways. Either we all come together and make the world a better place (which I don't think is going to happen soon). Or, I provide for them as well as I can, not worrying overly much about the rest of the world.
Truly, if the rest of the world starts changing soon, I won't mind jumping on the bandwagon. It's a process that would be slow enough to recognize. And, given its nature, I would not be any further behind the curve for jumping on late. However, there is a definite disadvantage to jumping in late to the real world.
