While we're talking about it, recipe for the best mojito known to man:
2-3 oz Old New Orleans Rum
7-8 mint leaves
1 lime (juiced)
1T lime juice
1.5 T sugar
1/2c + 2T soda water
ice
Put sugar in glass and cover w/ 2T soda water. Microwave for 30 seconds to dissolve sugar.
Place mint leaves into glass along with the rum and muddle the leaves. Quarter the lime and squeeze juice into the glass. Discard 2 lime wedges and put the other 2 into the glass. Add 1T of lime juice and 1/2c soda water. Fill the glass with ice and stir.
Yes, you can also use a shaker, if you have one. Also, crushed ice works best. If you have simple syrup already made, add 2T of syrup instead of microwaving sugar/soda mixture.
