What stands out to me is how unhappy Americans are.. I've read other surveys and the US never seems to rank above 7th in these surveys.. And IMO that is probably the most troublesome stat.. We make the most money, we are the richest and most powerful nation, we have everything at our fingertips, and instantly. Yet we're pretty miserable.. And even what I see day to day, more and more we're an unhappy bunch..

1. Our food supply consists of processed foods that are unhealthy and full of additives.

2.You have to carry ID everywhere, it's illegal to not have ID, not mention the government spying. If you are a minority you had better carry your identification papers everywhere.

3. We can't travel to Cuba.

4. You can't own a home and here easier than you can in most other countries. The homeless population is gargantuan.

5. There are millions of Americans whose basic needs go unmet on a daily basis.

There is definitely plenty of room for improvement. The US is great if you have money. Unfortunately that is not the case for all Americans.
