Yeah, I think the real issue is that they don't want the "terrorists" have a human face. So just a normal picture of someone who is involved is equivalent to "glamorizing terrorism". I think the PD photos that were released did far more to glamorize the desperado image this kid may have with some. I think that fella is actually in some hot water for that unauthorized release, as he well should be.
Also, there is presumed innocence to consider. It hasn't been proven that he is even guilty and here the media acts as if he's presumed guilty and is really arguing about how bad a light they should show his picture in publicly.
That says something about our society. Let's just try him fairly and go on.
