Seriously the spikes in oil price we see every few months isn't being caused by OPEC..

OPEC has been done for a while now. In the late 90's when Russian Energy reserves started coming online, OPEC started losing a lot of clout. With North American energy about to enter the market in a big way, OPEC is finished. The cartel model only works when the all the major producers are in on it. Russia already has shown how that model can be broken. The US just recently surpassed Russia as the largest non-opec energy supplier, with Canada and Mexico experiencing huge production growth as well.

The day when opec dies will be here within a year or two. once the US lifts the export ban, which it will soon, OPEC is finished

As critical as oil is to the economy, its a joke the way its speculated based on everything except actual supply/demand. S%D does NOT change that fast to justify price swings we see. Its fear, greed, and BS.

OPEC be dead, yo. Be dead for a long time. OPEC influences are merely political and most of the talent in OPEC countries has departed for energy markets in other countries. Which is sad because with the departure of that talent-- the void is usually filled by people who believe in magic.

Oil probably won't be as competitive due to the proliferation of North American LNG. So, more magic in the land of sand.
