as for it being an appropriate disagreement, well, yes, it is appropriate. i wasn't trying to argue any longer hence the "if it makes you comfortable thinking that, go for it". had i not put that there then i guess you'd have a legitimate criticism.

might i add that "complete sentences" i.e. the pedantic type you're requesting here are not necessary in a discussion as informal as this. i do not need to clearly state the subject, the object, and the verb in order for it to be understand or be "correct" in this context. every language on earth, or at least the half dozen i've studied, drop most formal grammar in informal situations because it's unnecessary to in order to understand what is being said. english is no different.
