Fresh from success for Veep, Armando Iannucci is back with the thick of it season 4.
Got to say, especially with the show really being driven by Peter Capaldi. And Iannucci's comments after the election results that the public was forcing him to completely rewrite the script gave me cause for pause.
However, I'm blow away by how strong the first episode is. The new Dynamic between the conservative senior and lib dem junior minister is so far fantastic (and well cast in the latter case). It's also looking like Peter Capaldi will not be totally absent and there are supposed hints that the IRL lulzfest that is the Levinson inquiry is going to be a major plot point in some format. http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2012/ju ... it-leveson
Its really moved beyond a satire of labour government, to government in general.
Thoughts, comments etc?
