Idk why you guys are so resistant to the idea. They've been in trouble for awhile. They have 0 smart phone market. Their TVs are out-priced and outperformed by Koreans. Their laptops are uninspiring, same for whatever desktop stuff they make. The PS4 isn't even backwards compatible, it's going to cost them money to produce (money they don't have). Their cameras can't compete with Nikon or Canon. Their home and car audio equipment is very mediocre.

They don't dominate, or even come close to dominating a single market. They have 0 mobile presence.

They have movies and music, and games. That's it.

It's pretty obvious that their days are numbered.

As their currency depreciates and they gain an upper hand against South Korean exports I fail to see how Sony is "doomed!"

When I were lad, we had nowt but a stick to play with, and we were grateful for that. Kids these days don't know they're born. /grumble

But Bloomberg did run a piece this morning on how Sony is buying materials for their products with dollars because they'd anticipated a stronger yen back in 2011...so that kinda sucks. Nevertheless, revenues will go up substantially.
