Neo-malthusians can't conceive of the possibility of technological leaps. Pretty much exactly like the original malthusians. What was Malthus's original maximum world population before the obligatory apocalypse hit? A few hundred million?

There is no way the Earth can support trillions of people. Science isn't magic guys, and we are way over the earth's carrying capacity already.

Since the stone age the question for humans has been do we control the population or do we increase food production. Well we have always chosen increased production.
