I am pretty sure Manning had this 'condition' before he leaked the secrets, but that is irrelevant imo. IMO being a man who wants to change himself to being a women is the same level of crazy as people who implant sh*t like whiskers into their face because they 'self identify as a cat'. These people are broken, and I am in the rare position of supporting what Manning did through his leaks, but at the same time I hold the position that this desire is a mental disorder that shouldn't be fixed through some Frankenstein procedure.

Who f**k cares? It's his life let him do whatever. If a doctor says its not medically necessary (or preventative) though, the state shouldn't be paying for it.

Hilariously though, if this is considered a mental condition, then yea the state should be paying for it. I don't think it's a mental condition, so I don't think the state should pay, but those of you saying he is f**k in the mind for wanting to do this should recognize that if its the case the state should pay for his medical condition, just like the state routinely gives other inmates remedies for mental issues.
