I never made any endorsement for Morsi in a leadership role. I never endorsed the Muslim Brotherhood, I only pointed out they are anti-imperialism and thus not a reactionary group. In fact I said I do not care for MB personally at least twice.

I just want Egyptians to be able to run their own lives. If they choose the military junta and American corporations to do it for them I'm fine with it. I just don't see that happening in a condition of actual democracy.

Everybody in the Middle East is anti-imperialism. Al Qaeda is anti-imperialism. But they are certainly reactionary. Check your terms.

I also want them to run their own lives. Which is why I'm glad an institution they trust disposed of a leader that had given himself emergency powers, tried to Islamise the country against their will, and attempted to subvert democracy in order to crush his opposition.

Let me simplify things for you. The Muslim Brotherhood is a radical group.

Radical=working to to change the current political order

Reactionary=working to preserve the current political order.

It's as simple as that.

Since liberalism is the current world order, imposing it's cultural dictates is a reactionary activity. Opposing neoliberal imperialism is revolutionary. Your emotional attachment to liberal culture values such as gay rights doesn't play into the naming convention. Anti-imperialism is always revolutionary, by definition.
