The zombie apocalypse will probably be when a solar cme knocks all those things out for a week or two. Talk about a rant, wait till then,lol.

It's all about what you want and what you use it for. IPhone is a good phone, and Apple offers decent warranty plans, so all the power to you. If you want something solid and easy, iPhone is great. If you value customization and "Wow, that's neat," Android is obviously the way to go.

Off warranty, though, iPhones are expensive to fix.

I was also confused by my first android phone, I'll admit... but I had previously owned a Blackberry, so it was like night and day.

And I agree that people are too obsessed about the phone wars. Android and iPhone are pretty great... although one thing Apple wins on is consistency. All of their phones are decent, unlike low-end Androids.

Apple fanboys are incredibly irritating... even moreso than the other great douches of the tech world, Linux purists.

I've customized my ringtones, alarms, and such. I just don't care about customizing the OS. i use my phone a lot, but not for anything so computer related. I use the phone, text, e-mail, and music a bunch. I use the Nike Run app for running and I use some apps for money and stores (I have my grocer's coupons stored on it, Costco coupons, etc), podcasts, Twitter, the calender, weather, sports scores, fantasy football team, and redbox mostly. And occasionally the flashlight when I'm too lazy to get it, lol. But all the phones do this.

I don't have a case, though. Caseless FTW. f**k clunky cases. Never dropped by phone.

I've got a case on my iPhone, but it's the most minimal case available. So it barely makes the phone larger, but that little bit of protection on the corners has paid a few dividends when the phone got in the hands of my fumble-fingered son.
