Atleast their steps in the right direction. I think the hardest part is getting them to admit we've had 50 year old bogus draconian policy. We know it, they know it, and they know we know they know it. But their ego's are impressive ain't they,LOL.

I don't like it. It grants the federal branch the power to do as it wishes without affecting the actual legality of the law. Now the executive branch has carte blanche to prosecute or investigate as it so chooses against any state, and potentially use it as a powerful tool against them.

They've always had the authority not to pursue certain aspects of laws, regulations, etc if they felt it wasn't worth their time/effort or disagreed with the law.

This isn't anything new. The executive executes the law. It can decide to execute it poorly if it chooses. My comment isn't restricted to drugs.

Well yeah, but I'd say this isn't such a drastic change of policy or action if that's case. Status quo. The only thing changing is this specific administrations take on it.

Just doesn't seem like such a large move from that perspective.
