I think issues involving women are a bit trickier, but the eradication of religious minorities is pretty straight forward.

Even with a massive US occupation the religious minorities of Iraq were virtually wiped out under their new "democratic" government. Many fled to Syria.

In Pakistan, Iraq, and Egypt the religious minorities of those countries did better under the secular dictators (Mushariff, Saddam, and Mubrarak) than under Islamic influenced democracy.

I have little doubt the religious minorities of Syria are next if the Rebels win this war. As a Christian there is no way I'm going to support action that may assist in the destruction of some of my faith's oldest religious communities.

Domestic abuse is a worldwide problem... of course it is exponentially worse in the Middle East. The very highest estimates of known domestic violence in the US is 25%. And of course such incidents are actually persecuted here, rather than ignored or condoned by judges.

I know you love being the local Islamic apologist, but that simply doesn't fly with gender issues. Women are treated worse in the ME than anywhere else on the planet. What PoS said is sadly accurate.
