Imo, people in certain parts of the world behave like sub human animals. I will just stick with that until they give me reason to believe otherwise.

I wasn't trying to insult Comrade, just state my feelings about the quality of his Syria posts. He is a smart enough guy, so our difference in opinion isn't due to some sort of intellectual deficit, necessitating insults (see: my relationship with PoS and everybodies relationship with jimmyz). Instead, he isn't putting in any real effort, which makes responding to him frustrating.

Anyways, I think I've about exhausted my views on the subject. Time will tell how things will play out, and I fully expect to be proven right about this foreign policy blunder, as I have been consistently for the past fifteen years.

imo there are vast segments of people all over the planet Earth, in every nation and region, that behave more like chimpanzees and other similar nonhuman animals than civilized human beings. That there are more of these people in certain despotic regions wherein there are more nefarious environmental pressures seems to me perfectly obvious.

Is anyone else kind of freaked out by Kerry's latest response? He is pleading for just a little, very small, military strike. Nothing big, just a very ultra limited attack.

The whole region is tense and unpredictable. We have multiple super powers involved. How can seasoned politicians, supposedly learned in the ways of foreign affairs not see that the scale of the attack is pretty much irrelevant? One small, limited bombing run could easily force us into a long-term entrenchment in this situation.

It really just makes me think there is a larger goal in place here and getting entrenched in Syria is a necessary step.
