Actually that was exactly my point: that people watch too much TV and are obsessed with entertainment, when they should focus more on things that improve their lives, like learning new skills, socializing with friends or family, etc. Then you brought up something about subjectivity, blah blah, people who don't seek entertainment are boring, blah blah.
If you want to delude yourself into thinking consuming media is as valuable an use of your short life on this planet as, say, talking to a friend... go for it. That is retarded. But of course that is just another subjective assessment right? So why would you care?
