Of course the majority of them are not moderates. Only someone who thinks a foreign civil war is a perfect opportunity to demonstrate how tolerant and multicultural they are to their own satisfaction would think the rebels are not overwhelmingly religious fanatics. Then again, so are Assad's military. The secular, pan-arab communists are a thing of the past. No matter how longingly idiots like Dharma would like to think so, no anti-capitalist, anarcho, communist, socialist or whatever wetdream is going to emerge from this. You'd have to be either completely ignorant of the situation or completely blinded by ideological dogma not to see this. No matter who wins, first order of business will be ethnic/religious purges. Largely because the conflict is ethnic/religious in the first place.
Rebel groups are imploding anyways, the jihadi terrorists who were always the largest factions have been openly killing "secular" (hahahaha) FSA for a while now. Nonwithstanding NATO intervention, it looks like Assad is going to remain in power.
