Odd favorite Cars

Many of us have cars that, either because it was our first car, or because some association at some point in your life, became endeared to us.... what strange car models just happen to be one of your favorites?

Mine would definitely be considered strange, I happen to love the Volvo 240. I think it's a beautiful car in an industrial way. And there's a large niche community in the northwest and pockets elsewhere and in Europe that turn them into street racers.







The last picture is a 710 hp Volvo 240.

I don't know if it's odd or not, but my dad had an almost identical one of these, loved driving that truck. 390cu with a stick and glasspacs.

My first car.



289 V8, 275hp, 3spd auto, black leather Pony interior, brand new paint in factory color.

Cost? $3500 (in 1992 - roughly $6500 now). Best car for a HS boy. And, I still love muscle cars and pony cars.

My first car was very similar to this one, except it was a 1977 vs 1979. Can we say boat.

this is the truck my dad drove when i was very young. brings back good memories.

Nope. When I went to college, I had a choice. Either keep the car, or sell it and use the money towards a new one (got scholarship, and parents gave me the option of using half the money they'd set aside for a car). I was going to college 500 miles from home, and we thought it would be unwise to travel that much in a 30-year-old car.

Sold it and bought a 95 Camaro. Red, with leather and T-tops. Loved that car, too!

Currently, I'm keeping an eye out for a 67-69 Camaro with an LSx motor in it. Upgraded brakes, suspension, etc. Unfortunately, the ones that are done right cost $70k+.

The OP talked about "odd" cars. I love the Shelby Daytona Coupe. I'd love to have one of the Factory Five replicas, with a modern LS motor in it.
