Mom is cool and sweet. Dad has passed. He could be a jerk, but we had awesome conversations.

I'm friends with my parents now, so yes, I think the same would be true in the posed conditions.

My dad always treated us kids more like his friends than his children so I guess it wouldnt make any difference. My mom was sort of closed off socially because of her helicopter parents so I doubt I would have ever met her in a social setting.
