All took the deal except for of course Rodriguez.. Word is an appeal will take a minimum of 4-5 weeks, but most are saying it will drag on until November, meaning Rod will play the remainder of the year.. LOL at the Yankees especially.. Having a guy on their team the rest of the year that they don't want, can't stand, and don't want to pay..

Anyway for some reason though I have the feeling MLB isn't done with Rod this year.. I think hey have so much evidence and dirt on him they fully expected him to take a deal, and the Union also said they pretty much would stay out of it if he took a deal..So MLB walked lighltly hoping not to PO the Union.. Well, he didn't take a deal, AND now the Union is saying they are going to get involved and 'fight' for Rodriguez.. So I don't think MLB has anything to lose anymore, I get the feeling there's more coming.

I hate the Yankees but I always have liked and respected Rivera... Classy guy.. Maybe the classiest player I've ever seen on the field. And the greatest relief pitcher ever.

My Rangers are still hanging on by their fingernails. Tie breaker game today against the Rays. If they win that, then a tie-breaker game against the Indians. If they win that then they're finally in the playoffs.

That game on Saturday that got moved forward due to rain had an amazing ending. Rain kicked in in the 9th and Joe Nathan did an amazing job of getting that last out with 2 on, all while dealing with a downpour. It was so close to ending, the umps were letting them play in a downpour. If it had been the 8th or 7th they would have delayed the game. It needed to be ended....

Go Rangers, keep on keeping on. We get Nelson Cruz back today as well. Let's see if his 'roids help knock the rust of quickly.

Rays are the hotter team, and probably the better team, BUT...

Look at Price's number against the Rangers.. They are AWFUL. Price is a very good pitcher, but the Rangers beat him like a red-headed step-child.. His numbers against the Rangers are very bad. That probably gives the Rangers the edge..

I hear that often.. He's due, or they are due... But in baseball usually if someone or some team has you number, it doesn't change. Nothing is 100%, but a good pitcher like Price with a 10+ ERA in Texas? That's not good for the Rays, I'll bet Price is on a very short lease tonight.

As for hotter the Rangers went thru a serious slump there for abit. I mean for awhile in Sept. they lost 7-8 games in a row and were 2-14 or something like that.. They did bounce back though.

Tex caught a break that 1st inning... The game could have gotten away from them right there.
