It's only 4 years, but a lot changes in that short period. When I was in high school it was very uncommon for students to date anyone more than a class above or below them. The number needs to be set somewhere; I'm fine with this.

I'm starting to think that a lot of people on here didn't date much in HS.

Perhaps it was because I went to a small, Catholic HS. Only 69ppl in my graduating class. Of that, only 36 were female. Of those, only about 10 were bangable. And, we'd been together for 4-5 years by that point. I'd pretty much fished that pond to its limit.

The only recourse was to look at other classes.

I dated in HS. I've also been around a lot of 14 year olds when I was 18-21 while working in summer and had some hit on me. There is a large gap, IMO, between 14 and 18 in the mental range. 16 and 18 is fine but 14 is just weird.

As a father of 4 daughters.. Damn right there's a HUGE difference between 14 and 18 YO... A couple of my kids were definitely looking like a woman even when they were only 14, but mentality they were still only 14... By 16-17 there was a big change..

Yeah really I wonder why kind of high schools you went to. I don't think some of you realize how common this is.

And the sad part is nowadays (sounding like an old man here) girls are sexualized at a far younger age. I've heard stories about grade school kids sexting each other.

And I wonder what girls who just a couple of years ago were watching Hannah Montana--how they're processing what Miley is now because that is completely in your face.
