What's the origin/significance of your username?

Long story but here goes:

Back in 2004 I was a member of a gaming forum, it was military type videogame so it attracted a lot of right wingers as well as ex-military and hardcore conservatives and it had a political forum section. I had just stopped being a Repub and started debating them saying W shouldnt be reelected. One of the mods (who were all rightwing) was named "piecemaker" (he was a total prick who engaged in trolling and sniping and would then warn his opponents as a mod if he started to lose the debate) and took an instant dislike to me- everytime I beat him in a debate he would suspend me and then start a thread about me and flame me for weeks. Finally I had enough and told him I would like to meet him in a neutral site where he couldnt use his mod powers to take advantage of it. I searched for a neutral site and found PCF. In tribute to his username I created my own: PoS. When I told him I was waiting for him, he declined and banned me from the other forum. The rest is history.

Mine's easy:

No major significance, my original user name was Anaximander on PCF and Akira on other forums. When i went to mod I made a change because most of the mods used their first name so Nico was what I was called by most of my friends IRL.

I almost went with Rico Dredd for a while as this was a favourite character from 2000AD. As was Halo Jones, but chick name wouldn't do, no matter how fng awesome Halo Jones was as a character. Halo Jones owns, just to be clear.
