I will give you that, no doubt.
That said: no shutdown, no memorial-closing. It's really that simple.
I'd tend to be a bit more worried about the huge chunk of, say, food inspectors that aren't on the job right now but that's not as fun as making the narrative how the Kenyan Born Muslim Traitor is screwing veterans.

Again, simple solution. Open the gov't. None of this is possible without the shutdown.
That said, you think this memorial thing is an issue? I hope people understand what is going to happen if we default this week. Barricades around parks will be the least of your worries.
So let's fun this up: what will the narrative be for when that happens? How will that also become Obama's fault? Write the headline now...

1. No, of course these barricades are not anywhere near the importance of hitting the debt ceiling.
2. You just keep saying no shutdown, no barricades, but you've yet to explain why the govt shutdown requires barricades to go up.
