We did our stuffing in a slow cooker, and that turned out pretty good, although Jess put a little bit too much sage in. Doing it on the side is just easier, IMO, and you usually end up with better turkey and better stuffing.
My only real complaint is the fryer oil left over, but that's just me being lazy after hosting.
My grandparents make ham for holidays, but my parents don't. Usually we end up having either a turkey dinner or we order in pizza or Chinese food, depending how busy everyone is.
