If regulation is broken, you fix it.
You don't throw it out the window and hope that the threat of some large financial penalty will deter... corporations. When has that ever worked?

Is it just me or does it seem like a lot of alumni have been showing up lately?
And I will stand mostly corrected because clearly this is your field.
I do think the narrative of defunding our regulatory agencies/understaffing them to the point of being neutered still holds water though.
