Apple spaghetti sauce. Sounds weird, but turns out very good.
Chop an onion and an apple (no skin) and saute until the onions soften. Add milk or half-and-half, then add parmesan and mozzarela. I happened to have some of those processed Baby Bell type processed cheese wheels, and I threw 5 of those in to thicken. Serve over angel hair.
The apple acts kind of like carrot. Is sweet, with a hint of apple flavor. But, since most of the apple dishes we eat have nutmeg and/or allspice, and this doesn't, it doesn't taste anything like a normal "apple" dish. It turns out sweet and cheesy.
