I'd say the majority of people who watch that show do it sheerly to be grossed out, not out of any real concern for hoarders.

I already agreed that it's a sick and exploitative show and the fact that it is shown alongside of equally vapid and impoverished reality programming is precisely why I don't even have basic programming and do not watch television outside of the few shows that I like on Netflix. My only point is that it is impossible to maintain that no one watches with sympathy and that people only watch to laugh.

That there are a lot of selfish and antisocial assholes in the world who probably watch that show without sympathy is not in doubt.

In any case, this isn't a show, but rather just some landlord who is handling seeing his property destroyed with rather remarkable restraint. I would have been raging about that bathroom.

Eventually she is going to hoard a bunch of gasoline and matches next to the water heater and then boom you can collect the insurance money. That house is pretty much destroyed.
