Well on corporate authoritarianism we agree, in that the degradation of society inherent in a continued obsession with media facsimilies of culture is the biggest threat I think that we face. Infact I could see wars started over political positions taken over reality shows. The media complex could literally start deciding which political factions fight with who, based on how much money they might make by the potential drama created.

Sigmund Freud defined four parts of a psyche; the id, the ego, the superego and the stratego. The Stratego being the highest form of morality and scientific thinking.
If guns are not outlawed, the in-laws will have guns.
