technically each individual has his own jesus that he worships. to break it down along too fine a line completely negates the concept of dogma. at its very core, catholicism and most mainstream protestants worship the same jesus. it's only radicals and the orthodox who make it weird.

Which is why I observed that it was too general a statement. As far as I'm concerned it's the ignorant and illiterate who "make it weird" and they typically belong to one of the sects I previously mentioned, Pentecostalism, the evangelicals and so on.
