Pope Francis Takes Down "Conservatism"

Oh, exactly. What I'm saying, and why I think this is newsworthy (obviously many do not), is that you haven't heard such a high-profile religious figure come out and put it so specifically to... us. And the system that we actually "worship."

And that's another really good point he makes: what really is our "religion" here? Hint: I don't think it's the Jesus kind.

It's news, and this Pope does seem to be a breathe of fresh air.. But as was mentioned earlier here in the US, because much of our very religious conservative ideals are mostly from Protestant religions and conservative Evangelicals, I don't see much of a change here.

Well in all honesty I realized they're different sects but I didn't think they would ignore him wholesale and thought they all probably agreed on most things when it comes to what Jesus wants, etc.

So they would literally just ignore him outright huh? Hmmm. Interesting.

Anyway, my point was: and still is, it's gonna be funny when you confront so-called religious people with what was said, to see their reaction. Because I'm not sure simply saying "He's not our Pope!" is much of an argument.

Back to my OP: much of what JESUS said they would attack these days--you can at least agree with that, right?

So why do we keep calling them Christians?
