The gov't isn't keeping me from starting a business. They might ream me a new asshole once I do, but they're not stopping me. They're not holding me back from starting one. And nobody said it's just poor black people, but that is twice now that I've been accused of saying "lazy blacks" or "poor blacks" and I actually never used those words. Only you and Indy appear to be racist in such a way.
And it's not true that a small segment of society produces everything society needs. There are 300 million in America, roughly. Right now, roughly 100 million are kids, 100 million are out of work and 100 million are working (these are rough numbers, but still). The 100 million working are providing for themselves and their kids. So lets say that's not every kid, lets say half the kids are in working families so 50 million kids. 150 million are providing for the other 150 million. However, in order to do so, they have to steal money from the working 150 million. This is holding them back from buying more stuff, starting business to employ more people, etc etc.
So while you say that a small segment of society is providing for everyone, that's only through force and not for the good of everyone. If the gov't would back off and let people keep more of their money (i.e. invest, spend or save it, all of which create jobs) then it benefits society as a whole. I don't think 90 million people are lazy. I think that the gov't has taken from people who are the providers for so long that there isn't much more to give.
I mean look at Sean Hannity. He said he pays 50% in taxes and would supply his tax forms to prove it. However, Sean Hannity provides a lot of people jobs. While the left think he's double evil because he's rich AND he can't stand Obama, I look to people like Sean as job creators. People have no idea how much people like Hannity benefit society. The same with the evil corporate jet owners. Those corporate jets give A LOT of people good paying steady jobs. But since they are owned by rich people, well shit, they must be evil.
"Police protection" is an oxymoron. Gun laws are like masturbation, they both feel really good, but after you're done you realize you haven't accomplished anything."
