so spider, how happy over all would you say you are with your iPad? I was thinking something along the same lines.

Also considering getting a couple of those chrome books, I need something cheap to keep offline for storing my horde, and then I could have another to surf and trade etc with.

But then again new iPad is awesome and I could keep my wallet in a USB or soemthing.

I cna't decide.

I'm pretty pleased. Getting ready to upgrade to the Air, though, as I'm gaming on the thing increasingly, to my shame, and all that glorious horsepower beckons. I also like the slimmer form and lighter weight a lot. I think the Air is by a huge margin Apple's best product. I'm a whore for a good display though...and that display really is amazing. Second only to the Samsung display on their high end ultrabooks.

Don't know what you mean about storing a horde, but the chrome books have very little storage, and are entirely dependent on being online.

iPad is just a toy though. Its in no way a replacement for a real computer. At least not if you've got anything to do beyond email and browsing and particular trivial tasks.

it doesn't need a lot of memory or storage for my horde of bitcoins, just the ability to be an offline device I can access via keyboard and USB for cold storage. I guess I could use a USB or external drive but then I have to connect them to an online device which I want to avoid. I just want to create a transaction on the offline device, export and put key on USB, then to my online device for immediate transfer to an exchange for trading.

Just accessing my MLS and other cloud services that I use +email and browsing.for iPad, it's all optimized for tablets. I don't do any resource heavy stuff really. I have a powerful computer for gaming but it's defunct and I haven't ever bothered with fixing it. I just don't need it I guess.

basically if I can connect to the web and connect to my TV with HDMI that's all I need.

I bought zee surface pro 2 and I have been in love since then. I use it in class and bought an attachment to hook it up to my projector. Runs my email system, offers apps, etc.
