But the private universities aren't subsidized by state and federal money, are they?
I agree they are huge pieces of shit, but if taxpayers aren't funding them... It's not quite the same
Also, really disappointed. I was hoping there was more out in Colorado. Maybe there's other companies not HQered there.

My point is if Joe Smoo's kid goes to a k-12 school in Virginia and because the locals and the state are allowed to set 100% of their curriculum, and he is taught the earth is flat, then when, or IF he goes to a public University he will be lost. I realize I'm being over-dramatic with that example..
At least the basics have to be taught to everyone, and evenly. And honestly I think if the Feds totally got out of the public education business we would have states that would pick and choose what was 'basic' based on their ideologies.
