10 years for a 31 YO 2nd baseman who seldom hustles? Baseball owners will never learn. By his 3rd year of the contract the M's will be looking to trade him and dump the contract.

It's good and bad. Bad because it's a terrible contract for a 31 year old. Good because the franchise is in shambles, we have no fans, and no credibility with free agents who want to win. This changes everything for the Ms.

Oh yeah.. I agree.. Many athletes hang on too long and end up either hurting themselves or looking like fools because their abilities have drastically diminished.. . It's good to see Haladay go out on top.

2 Cy Youngs, and for 10 years probably the best pitcher in baseball.. Definitely a 1st time ballot HoF'er..

He is incredibly qualified an probably ran an even tighter process than normal in anticipation of a challenge. Injunctions are also difficult to obtain, especially on these facts.

If Arod goes to court he will lose.
