Speaking of controversies what a major F'up in Washington..

Griffin might be benched.. Shanahan is benching him because he wants to be fired.. If he's fired he gets paid for next year, if he resigns he isn't paid..

What a mess.

How is it that they can be that bad at ownership and team management?

Also, Josh McCown may actually be better than Cutler.

I never thought Cutler was that good anyway.. He's got talent, but that gets nullified because he's a head case. On a real good team which had other talent who were leaders Cutler would probably be alright(like past Raven teams with Lewis and Ed Reed type leaders), and he'd be good enough to get to a SB.. But on a so, so team like the Bears, where he has to be a leader? Nope, he just doesn't have the personality or temperament.. He does more harm than good.

I think Cutler has been over-criticized. Other than Marshall, he's had shit receivers until this season mostly. And Mike Martz was terrible and their O-Line was really horrible.

But he's not necessary to be a good team.

Put it this way. I think McCown would struggle much more than Cutler with the team of 2 or 3 years ago but with how it is now, there's not much if any difference between the two.

Nobody likes or respects Cutler. Anyone seen the cameras capturing Bears o-linemen laughing after cutler takes a sack?

Cutler has the physical ability but no heart or leadership skills, which means he sucks.

During his press conference Shanahan says this:

''What I'm trying to do is be as honest as I can. And I don't normally do that.''


That just adds to the circus and mess that is the Washington Redskins. Anyway he not only benches Griffin, IMO a good idea(he's 26th in the NFL in passer rating) , but he makes a healthy Griffin inactive for those games.. IMO not necessary, unless of course you're trying to get yourself fired.
