I'd love for you guys to share some more artists that will become classic. So far the only new ones are Mos Def (which wouldn't surprise me, although Black on Both Sides is from 1999 outside of my totally arbitrary range) and Eminem (not an awful idea either, although I don't think a lot of his stuff has aged well). I included Jay-Z and Kanye on my list. There must have been more than a couple classic artists in the past 14 years, right?

Eminem will def. be a classic. The guy is already a legend and transcends fan barriers. Most of my friends listen to either country or metal and damned if they don't like Eminem too. Plus his new album kicked my ass, from what I've heard.
Other suggestions...
What about Nickleback? It is truly awful but still sticks in your head. They do appeal to a huge and diverse crowd. Sold a shit ton of stuff too.
