same. i've bought a set of those large kids blocks for every one of my sibling's children and they all have a blast with them.

Kind of lame, it's mostly trees and ground. At least they came up with it themselves though. People who buy a Lego set and actually follow the directions are really f**k lame (unless they take it apart and build their own thing immediately after they finish). It's like assembling IKEA furniture for fun.

I love legos. Built multitudes of crap as a kid. Now, my son LOVES them, too. I'm teaching him to follow the directions for the kits, but when a kit falls apart, I'm also teaching him to build new stuff.
We just bought him a large (48" tall) tool box to keep them all. Drawers for assembled kits, drawers for random stuff, drawer for the peeps, etc.
He's only 5, but he built the X-Wing Fighter all by himself while I was away at work. I helped a bit via Skype, though.
