I'm a gamer. Not an elitist PC connoisseur that spends his entire paycheck upgrading to the latest solid-state device, but I like to keep up with the latest technology. Last week I purchased the Xbox One after carefully comparing it to the PS4; I have no complaints. It's an excellent machine. Of course that very night I purchased this big ol' box of joy, I had to deflect the complaints of Sega fanboys. Uneducated complaints.
- The Xbox runs at 1.75 ghz compared to the PS4 at 1.6 ghz.
- The Xbox has FAR more exclusive titles. If I want to play 'classic' Sony games like Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, GTA, I can. But no Halo, no Fable, no Titanfall?
- Easier to port PC games into Xbox than PS4.
- The Xbox is actually innovative. It's meant to be an entertainment system. The Kinect actually works pretty well, and is leagues ahead of Sony's alternative. Furthermore if Microsoft and Verizon strike a deal where the Xbox can be used as a DVR, it will pretty much be the only box you need in your room.
- The Xbox cloud system is superior to Sony's, allowing for more fluid online interactions and the possibility to host much larger matches.
