I've been following Kinect hacking since the device came out. Used to have it hooked up to my Linux box and used it to control my web browser. Very handy when I was surfing YouTube.
The technology is awesome, but it should have been developed and marketed independently of XBox, as a standalone product for business professionals, doctors, etc.

The potential of the Kinect is astounding. It can track your facial expression and hand motions to precision. That means developers of both video games and movies could potentially get real-time feedback about what emotions their product elicit. Just because the Kinect hasn't realized it's potential in 3 weeks doesn't mean it should be dismissed. It's already a lot better than the Wii-U and Sony Eye.
Nintendo really should just focus on its titles. People hate the Wii design but will always return to Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong, Metroid Prime, Starfox, etc.

You can watch Youtube on the Xbox; not the Ps4.* Youtube uses HTML5. My guess is the market is replacing Flash with HTML5 anyway.
