In regards to the Chinese currency, they are kind of between a rock and a hard place. If they strengthen the yuan it weakens their exports. So they are trying to serve two masters as far as that goes. I think they will ultimately choose exports.

China will not start a war with Japan, and is already stretched thin in terms of how many strategic enemies they have versus how much actual military strength they boast.

It is essentially China, Pakistan and North Korea versus Russia, Russian-supported India, South Korea, Japan and the US.

Simply put, hell will freeze over before China moves against that.

China wouldn't dare risk a war with the us, hence a war is incredibly unlikely. But I highly doubt the us would risk a war with China. It's a war the us would win but would be far too costly both economically and through loss of life for the us to participate.

Where do you get the impression that the average Chinese person doesn't care. I have no doubt that the Chinese government will constantly remind their populace of the horrors committed by the Japanese in ww2. It plays straight into their hand and on the part of the Japanese it's quite frankly f***king disgusting. Imagine the retribution Germany would face if some of its top ranking officials expressed doubts about the holocaust.
